Fourth Presbyterian Church
About Us
A leader among progressive congregations and a member of the Presbyterian Church (USA), Fourth Presbyterian Church is a vibrant and diverse worshiping community. A presence in the city of Chicago since 1871, this downtown congregation is committed to serving the needs of the community, both locally and globally, a commitment that can be seen in the Tutoring, Urban Farm, and Social Service Center programs of Chicago Lights, the church’s nonprofit community outreach arm. Fourth Church’s long legacy of strong preaching and exceptional music continue to attract members from throughout the city and visitors from across the country. One of the iconic images of Chicago, the Gothic Sanctuary and parish buildings on the busy North Michigan Avenue are now joined by the Gratz Center, dedicated in November 2012 and providing a chapel, labyrinth, and expanded meetings spaces.
