Yes No WendyF – Jan 06, 2023 Arrogant and unhelpful My visit to Dr. Kingdom was so disappointing. I've been sick with sinus problems (with fever) for nearly 2 years now, and in the course of trying to figure out what's wrong, I was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis. Dr. Kingdom used to work at National Jewish, and came recommended as someone who has a lot of knowledge about CF infections. He took a quick look in my nose and said there's no way I have any infection. I asked him to explain the fever and green mucus, which he couldn't. He told me that what I was experiencing was "breathing differently" after my sinus surgery 2 years ago, after which I was sick in bed for 3 months and lost 1/2 my hair. If you're looking for an egotistical gaslighter, this is your man. If you want a doctor whose interest lies in healing you, look elsewhere. I sobbed when I got in the car. Yes No Educated Person – Oct 17, 2022 There is a reason his rating is 2.5 and lowering…. Most condescending arrogant person I’ve ever dealt with! He thinks he is the only competent ENT on the planet! I had my medical records sent from Northwestern ENT Chicago and Millennium Physicians Group Naples Fl. Dr. Kingdom refuted their diagnosis and treatments and medical qualifications!!! I finally told him his communication style and approach is condescending, argumentative and a complete disconnect for me as well as I have absolutely no confidence in him as a physician. I honestly have never met a doctor that has such a disconnect with his patients. He was dismissive and rude, interrupting me consistently and not really listening. He completely contradicted prior treatment I'd received that had worked for me, said there was nothing he could do, and did not even try to find a solution to my problems. Plus didn't seem to believe much of what I'd said. If you have any kind of complicated sinus issue, save yourself a major frustration and find another doctor. I'm going to stick to the doctors who have actually helped in the past! Yes No Mr. K – Sep 09, 2021 I saw him to talk about a sinus infection, which I caught from handling rancid meat, which never fully went away, from years ago, and he told me "I've never heard of that happening before." He didn't give me the time to speak, told me what was happening before I could explain, and then swept me out of his office. I'm not sure what causes sinus infecctions if it's not pathogenic exposure, maybe I'm just needing some drugs or something and infecction is a gentic disease. Unfortunately it’s all the negative reviews. He is rude and condescending. Went off on a tangent that all my other Physicians do not know what they are talking about. These are Dr.s that he works with at UC Health. Including my Primary care Physician. He made me so uncomfortable I told my husband I will never go to another Dr.s appointment without him or another person being with me. We fully intend to follow through with UC Health on this. No one should be subjected to this kind of poor treatment. Every test I’ve had he said the doctor was incorrect and that none of it was true. He said he has a hard time believing anything I’ve been going through is actually happening. I told him to go get my hospital records and he said “well honestly I don’t see that as my problem” he kept on telling me I was lying and that none of what I was saying was true. Got me to the point of tears and I had to walk out of the office. Every time I explained he said there was nothing wrong with me and he asked why are you here again. I cried and stopped answering him until he left me alone. He then ordered a test that another doctor had done already. One of the rudest people I have dealt with. Not what you need when searching for answers. Yes No Karen D in Denver, CO – Jun 30, 2019 To be honest I was a bit cautious going in to Dr. Kingdom after reading his reviews online, but I had a really great experience with Dr. Kingdom and his wonderful PA Dr. Grey. After pre-ops visits, an operation, and three post-op visits, I did not find any of the negative things I read online to be true. I felt like he listened attentively, was kind and caring, had a great bedside manner, and furthermore like he was the first doctor I went to that actually wanted to look at my problem with an investigative mind wanting to figure out what was causing it. I am very grateful to no longer have a watering eye and clear sinuses, and would trust any one of my family members with Dr Kingdom and his staff. Yes No May 10, 2019 After seeing well over fifty doctors over the last few years to help close family members with significant health problems, as well as for my own health issues, I have a pretty good understanding of the difference between good and bad doctors. Dr. Kingdom is among the top five worst I've ever dealt with. He was arrogant, condescending and dismissive of everything I knew to be entirely true. He criticized most of my reasons for seeing him, berated my previous ENTs for improper care, and dismissed previously successful treatments as pure coincidences. His conclusion was that I needed to see their neurologist to get pharmaceutical pain treatment. If your symptoms are undeniably sinus related, Dr. Kingdom may provide good care. For sinus problems that aren’t obvious and can’t be verified at the time of your visit, I highly recommend avoiding Dr. Kingdom. Dr. Kingdom adheres to a different Hippocratic Oath compared to that of my late father-in-law who was a well respect Physician. I was assured that the doctor saw variety of patients and he would be happy to see me. I went to my appointment with all of my labs, tests and MRI's. Not only did the doctor not look at any of my documentation, but he treated me like a pariah. As I've been on a 5 year journey into a difficult to diagnose illness, I've learned that not all patients and doctors live in the same head space. Therefore, I asked the doctor Kingdom's office to have someone from his medical staff call me before my appointment to make sure we would be a good fit. $500 if a lot of money to spend if the patient and doctor have different beliefs on Western and Eastern medical diagnosis and treatment. I was charged an exorbitant amount of money (over $2k) for tests that were of questionable utility, only to be prescribed a nasal spray and told there's nothing else they could really do for chronic congestion. His bedside manner, his willingness to explain procedures and longterm prognosis is amazing. My recovery time has decreased significantly since I have had surgeries with him. Highly Recommended! Yes No Gypsum, CO – Jun 15, 2017 We've had a very good experience with Dr. Kingdom. My husband has had two surgeries with him and was extremely satisfied with the results. The second surgery resulted in him getting enormous relief from his congestion. Sent a friend to Dr. Kingdom who had nasal polyps and he too was very happy with the results of a surgery with Doc Kingdom. Robby, his PA, has been very helpful as well. We had zero problems with condescension and they are very available via phone or email to help. As I've been on a 5 year journey into a difficult to diagnose illness, I've learned that not all patients and doctors live in the same head space. Therefore, I asked the doctor Kingdom's office to have someone from his medical staff call me before my appointment to make sure we would be a good fit. $500 if a lot of money to spend if the patient and doctor have different beliefs on Western and Eastern medical diagnosis and treatment. Yes No Denver, CO – May 01, 2018 Dr. Kingdom is a highly competent doctor who was generally kind and did a good job of explaining potential risks and benefits of the plan we chose. But the impact of the surgery has been negative-to-negligible, and the expense of the follow-up visits is completely outrageous, so I cannot recommend engaging his services. Yes No Tom in Denver, CO – Dec 18, 2017 Dr. Kingdom and the team were more concerned with billing than my well being. I came in for congestion I had been experiencing for ~3 months. I was charged an exorbitant amount of money (over $2k) for tests that were of questionable utility, only to be prescribed a nasal spray and told there's nothing else they could really do for chronic congestion. Yes No Boulder, CO – Sep 29, 2017 I have had 9 sinus surgeries in my lifetime. Doctor Kingdom is by far the best ENT that I have ever had. His bedside manner, his willingness to explain procedures and longterm prognosis is amazing. My recovery time has decreased significantly since I have had surgeries with him. Highly Recommended! Yes No Gypsum, CO – Jun 15, 2017 We've had a very good experience with Dr. Kingdom. My husband has had two surgeries with him and was extremely satisfied with the results. The second surgery resulted in him getting enormous relief from his congestion. Sent a friend to Dr. Kingdom who had nasal polyps and he too was very happy with the results of a surgery with Doc Kingdom. Robby, his PA, has been very helpful as well. We had zero problems with condescension and they are very available via phone or email to help. I would not wish him or his entire team on anyone. They tend to cover up reviews like this with a lot of untrue ones September 8th, 2021 I went to see this doctor because of a long term sinus infection that I caught handling rancid meat, at work. The doctor explained to me that he's never heard of someone catching a sinus disease from being exposed to pathogens. The doctor explained the situation to me quickly, and didn't have the time to hear my explaination, and shooed me out of the office very quickly. November 29th, 2019 He is condescending, arrogant, does not care or listen, talks at you trying to make you feel stupid even if you know more than him about what you are dealing with, literally saying he does not see any issues then says he can’t see that issue with his tools, gives false drug risks/side effects info, and just pushes to have surgery. No idea how to treat chronic issues. National Jewish is supposed to be the expert yet they have an idiot like him on staff. He will let you wait for an hour and not apologize at all. As a person who has been diagnosed, by Western medical labs, with a type of tick Bourne illness and toxic mold, I wanted to be sure I was seeing a doctor who was open to working with a patient with newly recognized illnesses per the CDC. I had copies of all of my blood work, lab panels, CTs, and MRIs. After a very brief scope of my sinuses, I was asked why I was there if my chief complaint was a headaches. I explained multiple times that I have severe facial pain, all which was exacerbated by a septoplasty. I have endless phlegm in the back of my sinuses for no apparent reason and my eyes swell from my sinuses to the point that I can no longer wear my contacts. I left Dr Kingdom's office basically defending my mental status while the doctor repeat that "If my chief complaint is headaches, why didn't I go to a doctor who deals with headaches". (FYI- I did see a neurologist last winter) Guess what Doc Kingdom- the CDC has acknowledged mold and tick borne illnesses exist in all 50 states. Furthermore, there are multiple well respected labs that conduct both mold and Lyme blood, urine and stool panels. People are going to start to get sicker from these environmental factors, so it's time to get your learning cap back on and be a bit more flexible with your patient's time and bedside manor. My office visit a waste of time, not only did I drive 2.5 hours, but the payment was significant. As a result, I immediately put a hold on the payment with my credit card company. Services rendered were subpar. Furthermore, had Dr Kingdom's office taken the time to have one of his med staff call me before my appointment, I could have saved both myself and the doctor time once we concluded that we were not a good fit. December 15th, 2015 I would not recommend this doctor he did surgery on me and less than month later I was having the same issues only worse before he wheeled me back to surgery he told me that I was going to take my condition to my "GRAVE" rudest Doctor I have ever come across..All he could say is its chronic its chronic do your job doc!!
