SherriI grew up in that church. Was baptized there, I lived caddy corner to it. It was home away from home. Our family was one of the first families there. I am thankful you are there taking care of the community. I miss it, just don’t miss the cold. Thank you for popping up on my screen. I have happy memories at West Layton. We were there every time door open. Teenagers would come to our house after services or anytime. I am youngest of the nine Meissner children. Thank you so much…I actually remember things there right now. See I lost my memory in 2008 when I was hit by an illegal drunk driver; I was on my motorcycle on way to friends house at about 11am on a Saturday. Don’t remember a whole lot. The Lord works in mysterious ways. I wasn’t suppose to survive, I did. Wasn’t supposed to walk or talk again, I do. My 1st language is ASL as my oldest sister is deaf. I was only one in family besides my sister that signed, I had perfect hearing. Now I rely on ASL as I lose ability to talk and write. The Lord spared me more of my ASL part of the brain than verbal. I know more ASL than regular spoken words. I had to learn everything over again. I have no memory, however; I know my Bible. It has always stayed with me. I remember my friends and neighbors there in Greenfield, don’t remember my family at all. Good bless you. I don’t know how I saw the church name and it all came flooding back…how? I don’t even know if I ate today. I remember the church, the people, Pastor Upton, ice skating on the parking lot in the winter there. I don’t know where all these memories are coming from. I am grateful you made it possible for me to experience it again. It won’t be in my head in a few minutes though, as it will be gone. Crying happy tears of joy for this happening. Missionettes, Royal Rangers and Daisies…oh my…..thank you Pastor. Sherri Meissner Allen, Texas
